John Shedd is the founding president of the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York. He began his working career as an engineer with General Motors Corporation, went on to work as a life insurance executive, and subsequently became a Christian businessman. A former director of the Boy Scouts of America, he was awarded the Silver Buffalo Award by the Boy Scouts of America in 1959. He was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame in 1995.
